Runway Sessions
Program Objectives
- Build self-confidence
- Enhance posture along with a graceful walk
- Ensure comfortability with uniqueness
Walking with poise is a critical piece of self-confidence. Girls attend a 16 week runway class that gives them an opportunity to learn how to walk with self-assurance. Each class begins with “I Am” affirmations. Instructors lead girls through a series of demonstrations that enhance posture and walking. Girls have opportunities to connect movement with confidence while practicing and perfecting walking techniques. The program culminates with a fashion show that aligns with New York’s fashion week.
Runway coaches who have experience in fashion and runway walking facilitate sixteen weekly two-hour sessions at JLR Dance Unlimited in Bay Shore, NY. Classes are held on Sundays from 2-4 pm.
About the founder of Cbgirlz Inc.
Wendy Johnson began her journey into the world of beauty as an entrepreneur. She worked as a stylist and established several beauty salons. As a Pioneer, she created a well-known modeling troupe, where young women used fashion to demonstrate their Artistry. Her work as a makeup artist/hair stylist has appeared in various Publications. Many young women have been inspired by her talents and have entered the fashion and makeup industry under her tutelage. Although her name is highly regarded in the beauty industry she understands the 360 of beauty, she not only addresses one’s outer appearance, she coaches them to recognize their Core Beauty.
